Cash transactions at banks continue to rise several days before Lebaran.
PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, including banks that experienced an increase in traffic near a cash transactions Eid. “Volume of cash transactions on a normal day ranges 6 million to 7 million transactions per day. But now, the volume of 9 million transactions,” said Sasmita, Technology and Operations Director of Bank Mandiri, Monday (14 / 9). 
Sasmita claimed not remember exactly how or total nominal value of the transaction. “In fact, rising about 15 percent,” he said.
Volume of cash transactions at ATMs Mandiri also rose. On normal days, the value of cash withdrawal through ATMs amounted to Rp 500 billion per day. The closer to the celebration of Lebaran, the value of transactions in the ATM machine soared to Rp 750 billion per day.
PT Bank BNI Tbk also noted the surge in cash transactions, both at the ATM or in branch offices. BNI’s spokesman, Intan Katoppo Adams, said, the last four days, the number of transactions at their ATMs reached 4.8 million transactions with a value of Rp 2 trillion. “Three days into the future we expect the cash withdrawal at an ATM reached Rp 1.5 trillion,” said Intan.
As for the branch office, during the last four days of cash transactions reached Rp 1.3 trillion. BNI estimates, three days into the future need for cash customers to reach USD 1 trillion.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) also noted an increase in transactions before Lebaran. “Since the second week of fasting, there is an increase of about 30 percent,” said Deputy Division Operations Center BRI Edy Utomo.
BRI to prepare cash Rp 12.13 trillion during Lebaran. Details, amounting to Rp 6.64 trillion set for withdrawal at an ATM and Rp 5.45 trillion in the branch office. BRI estimates, not all the money spent. “Funds are used typically only 90 percent of the value of the prepared,” said Edy. (Ruisa Khoiriyah / Cash)
