Etiket pergaulan

Salah satu elemen pendukung terciptanya pergaulan yang sehat adalah pemahaman akan tatakrama (etiket) yang dapat diterima secara universal. Etiket menuntun kita agar selalu peduli kepadaorang lain, tidak mementingkan diri sendiri, rendah hati dan mau mngikuti cara hidup bermasyarakat.
Dari situ terwujud suatu kesadaran internal yang membuat kita berhubungan, bekerjasama dan melaksanakan tugas serta tanggung jawab dengan baik.
Etiket merupakan kebiasaan yang dapat ilakukan semua orang. Penekanannya adalah pada pengertian kebiasaan yang benar, yang merupakan kebutuhan primer agar kita dapat diterima di tengah-tengah lingkungan saat kita hadir.
Kunci utama penerapan etiket adalah memperlihatkan sikap penuh sopan santun, rasa hormat terhadap keberadaan orang lain dan mematuhi tata krama yang berlaku pada lingkungan di tempat kita berada.
Dalam etiket pergaulan, ada tiga hal penting yan perlu kita ketahui, yaitu:
- Lingkup pergaulan
- Jenis pergaulan
- Bentuk pergaulan
Lingkup pergaulan
Terdiri atas :
Lingkup internasional.
Yang dimaksud lingkup internasional adalah pergaulan antar bangsa/ antar negara, dimana kita harus mengikuti aturan / pedoman tata cara pergaulan internasional.
Lingkup nasional.
Yang dimaksud lingkup nasional adalah pergaulan yang terjadi dalam satu negara/bangsa, dimana pelaksanaannya berpedoman pada aturan-aturan dan norma-norma yang berlaku dilingkungan negara/ bangsa itu sendiri.
Jenis pergaulan
Terdiri atas:
Pergaulan di dalam lingkungan masyarakat (misal : di dalam keluarga, dengan teman, dengan tetangga dan sebagainya).
Pergaulan di lingkungan kerja, yaitu pergaulan yang aturannya mengikuti tata cara dilingkungan kerja masing-masing.
Bentuk pergaulan
Terdiri atas:
Bentuk pergaulan resmi (formal)
- Undangan yang berhubungan denagn jabatan seseorang
- Perjamuan makan malam
- Resepsi pernikahan
- Undangan hari-hari besar /hari jadi kedinasan
Bentuk pergaulan tidak resmi (informal)
- Arisan
- Pertemuan keluarga
- Syukuran ulang tahun, naik pangkat,lulus sekolah dsb.
- Kelompok main tennis, bridge,dan lain-lain.
BEBERAPA ATURAN SOPAN SANTUN DALAM PERGAULAN
- Mengucapkan salam
Apabila kita bertemu muka dengan seseorang biasakanlah mengucapkan salam (selamat pagi, siang, atau malam, apa kabar, dsb). Selain dengan ucapan salam dapat pula dengan menggerakkan anggota badan, seperti misalnya melambaikan tangan, mengangukkan kepala, dengan senyum, dsb.
- Berkenalan
Untuk berkenalan dibutuhkan tata cara yang perlu diperhatikan. Ada beberapa cara berkenalan, yaitu :
• Dengan perantara orang lain
• Dengan perantara surat
• Dengan memperkenalkan diri sendiri
Orang yang muda diperkenalkan kepada yang lebih tua usianya
Seorang pria dikenalkan kepada seorang wanita.
Apabila kita memperkenalkan sesorang, seyogyanya kita sebutkan nama dan g elar atau pangkatnya dengan lengkap sebagai contoh : “perkenalkan kolonel badu,dokter dari Ruspau”
Bila memperkenalkan diri sendiri, sebutkan dengan jelas dan sopan nama sendiri tanpa menyebutkan gelar atau pangkat (kecuali dalam kedinasan).
Saat diperkenalkan, sebaiknya berdiri sejenak untuk berjabat tangan sebagai tanda perhatian.
- Berjabat tangan
Pada waktu berjabat tangan, bersikaplah yang hangat tunjkkan muka yang ramah, peganglah tangan dengan wajar (tidak terlalu keras, tidak terlalu lemas).
orang yang lebih tua atau yang dituakanatau orang yang dihormati biasanya mengulurkan tangan lebih dahulu.
Pada saat kita datang kepertemuan denganjumlah undangan yang terbatas, maka sebaiknya kita menjabat tangan tamu-tamu yang sudah datang terlebih dahulu. Sedangkan untuk undangan dengan jumlah tamu yang banyak, sebaiknya hanya menjabat tangan kepada tuan rumah saja, kepada tamu yang lain cukup dengan menganggukkan kepala atau tersenyum.
Pada waktu kita menjabat tangan, sebaiknya tidak sambil merokok atau tangan masuk dalam saku.
Pada waktu menjabat tangan, tataplah mata orang yang diperkenalkan dengan ramah (jangan bersikap acuh tak acuh).
- Berciuman
Rasa senang, bahagia, simpati, duka dapat diungkapkan dengan cara berjabat tangan. Jika hubungan emosional cukup akrab, dapat sambil berpelukan badan, dapat juga sambil berciuman pipi.
• Tata cara berciuman pipi :
o Posisi tubuh tidak terlalu rendah
o Posisi badan sedemikian rupa, sehingga pipi,bertemu pipi, atau bibir ketemu pipi.
o Upayakan berciuman dilakukan dengan cara yang tenang, tak terlalu bersemangat.
o Dapat juga sambil membunyikan bibir seperti kecupan.
• Seandainya tidak ingin berciuman pipi :
o Apabila tidak ingin berciuman pipi cukup tegakkan badan. Sikap sopan, mengangguk-anggukkan kepala adan mengulurkan tangan untuk bersalaman.
o Kesannya separuh hati dan tidak tulus dalam menyatakan simpati apabila bersalam dan bergerak seperti orang berciuman namun tidak menempelka pipi.
• Kebiasaan di timur tengah :
Biasanya anatara bapak dengan bapak diawali dengan pelukan badan. Kemudian berciuman pipi kiri. Pipi kanan dan kemudian pipi kiri kembali.
